WAESPAA facilitates professional networks and promotes the provision of, and access to, quality education services for students with special education needs. 

​​Networking and Professional Development

WAESPAA offers a professional network which supports members in many ways. A number of professional learning opportunities are offered to members each term with topics chosen to meet current initiatives, interest and need. An Annual Conference, regular networking events and a formal Awards Night are also arranged by the Association.

Country members are provided with rebates and access to professional learning subsidies to ensure all members may contribute and participate in the Association’s activities.

All WAESPAA members are also automatic members of PTCWA (The Professional Teaching Council of Western Australia.)

​Services to WAESPAA Members 

include:

  • Quality professional learning for members and non-members;
  • Subsidised costs to annual events including the twice yearly Connections Day, Networking Events and Annual Conference;
  • An avenue to celebrate quality in the Education Support sector 
  • An email communication forum for Department of Education members;
  • Regular communications including comprehensive information relevant to the sector;
  • Access to the Member section of the WAESPAA website; and,
  • Education Support representation within the Department of Education and other government and non-government forums both locally and nationally.
