WAESPAA Connections – 17 September 2023

(Posted Sept 21 2023)

Hello Everyone,

I hope you all had a restful weekend. It was so good to see so many of you last week at our annual conference. Thank you to all of you for taking time out to spend on your own personal development and to reconnect to each other. In the next couple of days you will be getting a survey from me, please take a few minutes to complete it even if you didn’t attend, as we would like to know why you did, and if you did what you liked and what you didn’t like. Believe it or not our 2024 conference planning is already well underway and we would love to get some feedback as to what you would like.

Many thanks to all of you would put your name down to help in one of our committees, you will be hearing from me soon. But if you were not able to attend the conference and would like to be involved its not too late. please let me know. There are three committees – professional learning which includes the conference and awards, research and development and the final one cultural responsiveness.

A huge congratulations to our winners of the StarKick Footy Carnival – we had ten schools taking part this year from both South and North of the river. There was a joint winner this year Wirrabirra ESC and Durham Road, with Cloverdale ESC coming in second. Congratulations to all involved. We will be getting the date for next years carnival out as soon as we can to go into your calendar for 2024.

Only 5 more sleeps to go to holidays! Have a great week.

Warmest regards,

Debi Taylor
