WAESPAA Connections – 19 November 2023

(Posted Nov 21 2023)

Kaya,

I hope you are now moving to a point that your school is staffed for next year, although I know that some of you are still struggling. It will be a mad scrabble in these next couple of weeks to get all the contracts locked in and in HRMIS before the week 8 deadline.

There is only 4 weeks to go of this year, but like everyone I am well into planning for 2024, which at the moment will look very different for me as I will be working on the Disability Royal Commission, as well as dedicating time to WAESPAA and advocating on your behalf.

If there is something you would like me to be aware off or if you would like me to help support you, or visit your school my contact details are below – as I am currently ‘homeless I do not have a landline so please use my mobile.

Advocacy

Program Kaartdijin

The Department has been working closely with associations to ensure a smooth roll out of Program Kaartdijin. As such, they have asked us all to promote the following opportunities to provide information directly to your various professional networks.

In future updates, Program Kaartdijin will bring you a series of videos about the upcoming improvements that will be delivered as part of the Kaartdijin Solution. If school networks would like a presentation on upcoming Kaartdijin solution, please reach out to ProgramKaartdijin.Training@education.wa.edu.au to arrange a speaker (either face to face or via WebEx/Teams).

Graduate Certificate in PBS and Complex Communication

Curtin University and Microboards Australia have develop two graduate Certificates one in PBS the other in complex communication. These two certificates are designed to be combined. The closing date for these is the 7th December and there are only 20 places on the course. I would encourage you if to advertise them to your Teaching staff.
